The South Carolina State Guard, 2nd brigade honor detail, recently presented its military history program to fifth-graders at Pacolet Elementary School, and Lt. Col. Ballard Brown was impressed by the students' curiosity. "The students were very attentive and eager to learn about America's military history," says Mr. Brown. "This is the second year the school has hosted this program, and the school staff is to be commended. Pacolet definitely is a patriotic town."
